DAY 1 ARRIVE AUCKLAND
On arrival you pick up your reserved vehicle from Thrifty Car hire and after rental formalities are completed drive to the downtown Quest Suites Parnell where you will be staying for the next 3 nights.
DAY 2 GOLF AT MURIWAI LINKS
This morning's round of golf is out on the rugged West Coast at Muriwai Links Golf Club. A scenic 45 minute drive will take you out to this hidden gem and its stunning coastline position. The layout features very large undulating greens that are always in great condition and fairways dotted with black sand pot bunkers giving the course a real British Open look.
After golf you can relax in the friendly clubhouse or take a quick drive up to the road to view the amazingly beautiful and famous gannet colony at the top of the headland.
DAY 3 GOLF AT GULF HARBOUR
The 50 minute drive North to Gulf Harbour takes you over the Auckland Harbour Bridge to the scenic Hibiscus Coast where the Gulf Harbour Golf Resort, Marina and Village are located. The course is designed by Robert Trent Jones II, one of the leading designers in golf architecture today and features spectacular views over the Hauraki Gulf. The 1998 World Cup of Golf was played here and both Nick Faldo and Colin Montgomerie were openly impressed with the spectacular layout.
DAY 4 AUCKLAND / TAUPO
This mornings drive takes you South and within 2 hours you will be in Rotorua the Geo Thermal capital of New Zealand . Visit some of the many hot geyser and mudpool reserves as well as the traditional Maori villages before continuing on to Taupo and the excellent Beechtree Suites your base for the next 2 nights. For the very keen they can drive direct from Auckland to Taupo for an optional afternoon round of golf at Taupo Centennial golf course.
DAY 5 GOLF AT WAIRAKEI INTERNATIONAL
Rated in the top 20 golf course outside the US by US Golf Digest gives you an idea how superb this parkland stlye course is. Recent upgrades by Thompson and Wolveridge have kept Wairakei to the modern world class standard. After golf take time to head to the Taupo Hot Springs or the beautiful lakefront.
DAY 6 DEPART AUCKLAND
This morning there may be time to for some more sightseeing in Taupo before driving back to Auckland. After dropping off your vehicle you depart Auckland International Airport if departing today.
