The Kinloch Club has been designed by the one and only Jack Nicklaus and his Golf Course design team.
It is the only Jack Nicklaus design of any type in New Zealand and the only Jack Nicklaus "Signature Course" [his very best designs] in Australasia.
The links style course winds through a rugged valley and has elevated panoramic views of
New Zealand's largest fresh water lake, Lake Taupo. This wonderful piece of modern golf architecture is a stern test off the black
tees where the course measures a whopping 6734 metres. Fortunately there are other less demanding tee positions to choose from,
making this layout suitable for all golfers. The fresh wind coming off Lake Taupo also adds to the challenge of this great course.
The small but stylish clubhouse fits in beautifully with the course
and its surrounds and the practice facilities are quite excellent and are easy to enjoy before your game.
This course was voted in the top 10 new golf courses in 2007 by US Golf Leisure and Lifestyle magazine and
was the only course outside of America to receive this accolade.
